Reading the Garden [w/Josh Thorpe]

A single-sheet newspaper called The Garden, which was available in boxes at each entrance to this small urban park. The text was compiled from conversations about the site with various parties who had specific or relevant knowledge about the site and its attending concerns: artists, architects, urban planners, city officials, neighbors and others.
This work presented an informal body of knowledge, addressing and adding complexity to the experience of the space, drawing attention to the multiple forces, histories and discourses at work in public space, and relating embodied experience to discursive activity
