On Printed Matter [w/ Josh Thorpe]
Printed Matter Inc., 2011

Our on-going collaborative work begins with descriptions and analyses of the physical properties and the social and ideological suggestions of a site. We spend time onsite observing and discussing details with architects, planners, artists, critics, and others who are involved in or adjacent to the space in question. This body of knowledge forms the basis, and often the content, of our work, which seeks to shift and add complexity to the experience of a given site, drawing attention to the multiple forces at work in the production of space, and relating embodied experience to discursive activity.

Text edited and compiled from interviews with: Myles Bennet, Dan Graham, Mark Jan Krayenhoff Van De Leur, Darlene Montgomery, Mimi Zeiger
